An AutoPod alternative that works with Final Cut Pro
AutoPod is a well-known plugin for Premiere Pro, with DaVinci Resolve in beta, and it has no Final Cut Pro version. If you edit in Final Cut Pro, CastCut gives you the same kind of automatic multicam edit, then opens it in Final Cut.
Where CastCut is different
- Works with Final Cut Pro, and also exports to Premiere Pro and DaVinci Resolve.
- Runs entirely on your Mac. Nothing is uploaded.
- Finds moments for shorts, ranked best first, framed vertically.
- From $8.25 a month on the annual plan, or $149 once for a founding license.
AutoPod details come from its public website in September 2026 and may change. Check their site for current features and pricing.
