Automatic multicam editing for Final Cut Pro

Final Cut Pro's multicam tools are great for switching angles by hand. For an hour-long podcast that means an hour or more of watching and clicking. CastCut does that part for you, then hands Final Cut a normal timeline.

What you get in Final Cut

• Every camera synced to your recorder, with drift corrected over long episodes.
• Cuts on whoever is talking, wide shots for crosstalk and quick exchanges.
• Every angle stacked on its own lane with the unused ones switched off. Press V to change a shot.
• Silence and filler cuts you reviewed first, plus vertical shorts as separate projects.

How it works

1. Drop your camera files and audio into CastCut.
2. Press Make multicam edit. About a minute for an 80-minute episode.
3. Press Export to Final Cut Pro. It opens by itself.

Works with Final Cut Pro 10.6 and later on Apple silicon Macs.
